Star Wars: The Last Jedi Movie Review (NO SPOILERS)

I seen it. I’ve thought about it. And STAR WARS IS BACK BABY!

How can you not get excited when a new Star Wars movie comes out? I really tried to stay away from as many trailers and spoilers as possible before this, and while I didn’t avoid everything, I did go into it pretty dang clueless. I know that it can be hard to avoid, but you should also do your best to avoid the Twitter trolls to get the full experience of this movie.

From the opening credits, you know that you are in another epic space opera. The Last Jedi, in my humble opinion, has the best opening sequence of any Star Wars movie. It really hooks you between the music and the use of characters that only had short moments in The Force Awakens. Poe Dameron in particular really got his moments to shine in this movie. I also really enjoyed how Kylo Ren and Rey were used in this movie as well. That being said, I wasn’t a fan of every story line. Finn in particular I thought wasn’t used in a very meaningful way. Without getting into any specifics, there were other storyline additions that might also make diehard fans very unhappy. While I prefer to go into movies like this with an open mind, I am well aware that many people will not be happy with how certain characters are handled.

I thought that this was a great addition to the Star Wars universe. I can tell that this is going to be a very divisive film, but from this recent Star Wars fan, it deserves its place in the saga.
