I just wanted to make a quick blog post about the end of an era. Or like, a year.
Moviepass, child of Stacy Spikes and Hamet Watt, was born in 2011.
Moviepass lived a good life, but left us too soon. Moviepass will always be remembered for its amazing yet unrealistic deal of unlimited movies for $9.95/month. It made mistakes, such as surge charging and selling users location information, but made that worth it by saving us a few bucks a month.
Moviepass is predeceased by Blockbuster and Harvey Weinstein’s career.
Moviepass is survived by its loyal and not so loyal subscribers, still pissed about something dying that they knew would never last.
In Loving Memory
